Why You need to maximize your time

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life”. Don’t be trapped by dogma—which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. here are
6 time management tips to crush your to-do list in April:

1. Stop half-working

Most people have 50 tabs open, look at their phone and switch between tasks.
No surprise they get nothing done.
Do this instead:
Define a clear task and a timeframe where you will do nothing else.
The fastest way to progress is to work on one thing only

2. Turn off notifications
The sound of a notification interrupts your focus, even when you don’t look at your phone.

• Twitter
• E-Mail
• News

Turn them all off.
Protect your focus and you’re done in half the time

3. Batch your tasks
You don’t want to jump from sales calls to creative writing to bookkeeping.
Take tasks that are similar and do them on the same day.

-Read in the morning
-Write during the day
-Edit in the evening

Immersing yourself will bring your work to the next level.

4. Say “No”
Every time you say “yes” to something, you are saying “no” to something else.

The only way to get what you want is to say “no” to everything else.

You can say “yes” in your free time, but protect your working hours like they’re sacred.

5. Take breaks
You’re not faster when you grind it out.
You’re slower.
To perform your best, your brain needs to be fresh.
Take a 15min. break for every hour you work.

How you work is more important than how long you work

6. Plan your day in advance
Without a plan, you will just work on what comes to mind.
But these tasks are not the important ones.
You don’t want to be busy; you want to be productive.

Create a plan to make sure you work on the tasks that move the needle.
